DIRECTIONS:
On US-35, Orchard Lane is the 2nd traffic light east of I-675 and the 2nd traffic light west of Progress Drive in Xenia. Go NORTH on Orchard Lane to Dayton-Xenia Road. Turn LEFT and the first driveway will be the Fire Station. Park on the west end of the Fire Station and take the steps to the Lower Level (follow the Sheriff Sub-Station signs). Please arrive 10-15 minutes before 6 PM. Ground level access is available–if needed, please call Fred Stone (937-848-4112), in advance or upon arrival. This is an OPEN test session for all classes of Amateur Radio License and walk-ins are welcome.Items to bring:
(1) A government issued photo ID (i.e. driver’s license).
(2) a FCC Federal Registration Number (FRN) or social security (SSN) number (See FRN Registration information below).
(3) If upgrading, provide the original and one photocopy of current license and the original and one photocopy of any certificates of successful completion of examination (CSCE) you hold.
FRN registration is immediately available from the FCC website. Obtaining a FRN is a free service and it helps to keep your SSN from being compromised. Even though our filing software is encrypted, we ask that prospective amateurs obtain a Federal Registration Number (FRN) instead of using your Social Security Number. Your FRN will be your future user name for any FCC transactions. Be sure to remember the password you enter during registration. The following link will take you to the FCC FRN registration page:
